Natural & Artificial Sports Facility Construction

Kestrel Contractors have recently started work on the Salford and Wigan BSF Scheme helping to underline their credentials as market leaders in the design and construction of natural and artificial grass sports facilities.

The project was secured early in 2010 and comprises of 2 fenced and floodlight full size all weather sports pitches, 3 Type 1 & Type 2 Sport England MUGAs and 5.5 hectares of natural grass playing field construction involving extensive earthworks, lateral drainage installation, sand amelioration and finishing works.

The scheme which involved input from the revised SAPCA Code of Practice for the design, construction and improvement of natural grass sports pitches and will be overseen by industry specialists Turftrax Ground Management Services.

The BSF scheme ensures projects are designed to offer school's good quality natural sports pitches as well as all wetaher surfaces to enable curriculum level play all year round.

Kestrel's ability to offer in house design, construction and renovation services for both natural sports turf and artificial sports facilities helps to add value to the supply chains of the main BSF contractors.

As well as sports pitch creation Kestrel also provide soft landscaping services such as timber fencing installation and small tree planting offering a one stop shop which is ideal for most BSF schemes.
