    The trade association that represents businesses committed to raising the quality standards of all sports, physical activity, recreation and play facilities that are designed, built and maintained across the UK. The association help funders, owners, operators and users avoid the hoops, hurdles and high jumps of sport facility funding, construction, management and development. With 250 corporate members who all have a direct involvement in the development of sports and play facilities – from contractors, manufacturers and suppliers to consultants, test laboratories, sports governing bodies and related organizations.

    Are a registered charity endorsing accident prevention in the UK and around the world for almost 100 years. They promote safety and the prevention of accidents at work, at leisure, on the road, in the home and through safety education.

    STRI

    Provides independent advice to around 2,100 sports clubs and leisure facilities every year. They specialise in advice and expertise for all natural and artificial sports surfaces across the globe. STRI works with clients to provide quality, bespoke and cost effective solutions for the design, construction and management of their sports surfaces. In addition, STRI manages multiple research projects and product trials each year.

    The LDCA

    A trade association of contractors, manufacturers and suppliers who undertake to comply with recognised standards of workmanship and materials. The LDCA publishes Technical Specifications for Field Drainage Schemes, Pipeline Reinstatement Drainage and Guidelines for Sportsturf Drainage Installation which set out the quality of workmanship and materials to be used in drainage and water management schemes. These standards are recognised by industry bodies and the LDCA Sportsturf Guidelines have been adopted by Sport England and the Football Foundation as the standard to which funded sportsturf drainage schemes must be carried out.

    Constructionline

    Have a national online database, the UK’s largest register for pre-qualified contractors and consultants.   For suppliers to the construction industry, Constructionline means there is no longer a need to repeatedly fill in standard pre-qualification forms for every construction tender. 8,000 buyers from 2000 organisations use the Constructionline database to source contractors and consultants.

    A British trade association which representing members of the road haulage industry, together with allied businesses. The RHA has been in existence for over 50 years. As a trade association, the RHA provides campaigning, advice, information and business services for its members within the UK haulage industry, including audits, risk assessments and contracts of employment. It also offers training, from Digital Tachograph training to Safe Loading.

    Kestrel are proud to hold the ISO 9001-2008 accreditation. ISO 9001:2008 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is the only standard in the family that can be certified to. It can be used by any organization, large or small, regardless of its field of activity. In fact ISO 9001:2008 is implemented by over one million companies and organizations in over 170 countries. This standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement.. Using ISO 9001:2008 helps ensure that customers get consistent, good quality products and services, which in turn brings many business benefits.

    The Contractors Health & Safety (CHAS) Assessment Scheme

    Kestrel have reached the standard required from the CHAS scheme and are bona fide registered and assessed as compliant annually within the Scheme. The key benefits of the scheme are that Suppliers can show compliance with important parts of health and safety law (the core criteria described in the CDM regulations); On achieving compliance a supplier is approved to work for all of CHAS’ buyers.(Some Buyers may require “Accredited” Status); Inconsistencies are reduced where some suppliers may be judged compliant by one buyer but not another; CHAS gives guidance on any weaknesses in a supplier’s safety management, including how they can improve; Being a CHAS supplier or buyer saves both time and resource.

    BALI membership is reassuringly difficult to achieve and the right to display the BALI logo is bestowed only after contractors, designers and suppliers have submitted to a rigorous vetting procedure and signed up to the Association’s Code of Conduct.
