Kestrel have handed over a state of the art 3rd Generation turf artificial football pitch in time for the new school term at ACS Hillingdon.
Kestrel provided a full design and 3G pitch construction package including planning assistance as the Hampshire based sports pitch specialists once again showcased their impressive range of services.
The pitch which utilises a temporary spectator rail perimeter fencing system came under considerable scrutiny from the planning officers at the local authority as the new pitch is situated in front of a listed building and so the design had to be sympathetic to the surroundings.
Kestrel used their extensive knowledge and connections within the artificial grass market to provide a heavy duty monofilament fibre which has been specifically designed to cope with the unique pressures of small sided football to ensure the design was in tune with the client’s expectations and will provide long term value.
Dave Bell, Facilities Manager at ACS Hillingdon, drove the scheme forward with input from the sports department and was impressed with the result. ‘The new pitch is a fantastic addition to the school and will provide a valuable training space which can be used all year round’.
Speaking about the service he enjoyed from Kestrel Dave said ‘We expect high standards at ACS and Kestrel delivered, the project was handed over on time for the new school term and just as importantly, was built to the agreed budget, the whole experience ensured our confidence in Kestrel’s abilities was well placed’.
