Whitton School Nears Completion
Kestrel have completed their latest natural and artificial sports pitch project at Whitton School in Twickenham.
The Hampshire based firm, who specialise in the design, construction, renovation and maintenance of both natural and artificial sports surfaces, carried out project for main contractors Apollo in late 2009.
The scope of works involved constructing the base of the first full size 3rd Generation artificial grass football pitch in the London Borough of Richmond as well as substantial natural grass pitch works.
The project involved minor earthworks, land drainage installation, stone placement, sand amelioration, macadam surfacing and big roll turfing under the watchful eye of sports pitch consultants Sportslabs.

Dual expertise
As the project was underway Kestrel were also awarded the construction of a single lane long jump facility.

The diverse nature of the job helped Kestrel to provide best value to the client and illustrate their wide range of sportsturf services.
